Pat Sloan, preview of a Dynamic Quilter

Through a myriad of friends, fan pages and groups on facebook, I met Pat Sloan.  I don't remember who initiated the befriending process but it really doesn't matter since we have a common interest, quilting. She has a dynamic blog filled to the brim with ideas, patterns etc. and she is so inspiring!  I have a lot of energy, but this woman makes the Energizer Bunny look like a slacker!  Seriously!

You can find Pat Sloan on facebook of course when you join her fan page, be prepared for a dynamic and wild ride through the world of Pat Sloan Quilting!  She posted a free pattern the other day on her facebook wall!

Pat has published several books and even hosts a quilt along on her blog using using her

Pat is featuring a cute BOM that she designed for Aurofil threads.  The quilt is called Meadow Breeze and the first block is an applique medallion block.  The quilt will be a speedy little 36" x 36" wall hanging just in time for spring.  Meadow Breeze could also be an adorable baby quilt.  Pat has a website http://patsloan.typepad.com/quiltershome/ that is just as dynamic as Pat herself!

I don't know where Pat get's her energy...but if she could channel it into an power station, she would make millions!  I get exhausted just reading and trying to keep up with her facebook posts let alone the links she features in them.  Did I mention that she recently held a free on-line quilt camp?  It is called Camp Sloanie and it was fun to follow even though I didn't participate!  Pat posted free pattern instructions every day!  Several followers participated and if I hadn't been in the middle of rearranging my sewing studio I would have participated as well.

Pat also has her own on-line radio show on Monday's at 4:00 PM EST.
She features 'Quilt People' on her show.  It is fun, dynamic and you will not want to miss it!  You can email Pat questions to ask her guests, she really is connected with her fans, community and the quilting world in general.  http://toginet.com/shows/creativetalkradio
If you can't tune in live, you can access the archived shows and still enjoy Pat and her guests!  You don't want to miss them!
